- The Worst Birthday – In which we remember the events during Harry’s first year at Hogwarts, Uncle Vernon has a very important dinner guest, dinner plans are prepared and Harry’s birthday is forgotten again.
- Dobby’s Warning – In which Dobby, a house elf, comes to Harry’s room to warn him not to return to Hogwarts, Dobby’s antics ruin the Dursleys’ dinner and Harry is safely locked in his room.

Riddle (Voldemort) calls the basilisk to kill Harry, but the phoenix attacks and together they kill her, and by piercing the journal with a snake fang, they also get rid of Riddle.
